Setelah selama 10 tahun bekerja sama dengan RED, Apple kini merilis iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus dengan warna merah. Bertajuk iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus PRODUCT(RED) Special Edition, kedua iPhone tersebut tersedia dalam kapasitas penyimpanan yang lebih besar. Dalam rilis pers iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus:
“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”
iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus PRODUCT(RED) akan tersedia versi 128GB dan 256GB mulai dari harga $749 dan akan mulai tersedia mulai Juma’at 24 Maret mendatang. Sebelum iPhone, Apple sudah terlebih dahulu mengeluarkan PRODUCT(RED) untuk produk-produk lainnya seperti iPod Touch, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones, Beats Pill+ Portable Speaker, iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case, Apple Watch band serta aksesoris case kulit dan silikon.
Selain mengeluarkan iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus PRODUCT(RED), Apple juga menambahkan iPhone SE dengan kapasitas yang lebih besar mulai dari 32GB hingga 128GB.
